Launched? Its just a browser disguised as an OS. DOS 6.22 is what its really running.

This is not true. I don't like to admit it but as of Windows 95 & forward (Including NT) Windows did use it's own Kernel, & dos was dos 7.0, which was not a true dos. You are correct for versions of Windows 3.1 & prior, those are simply file managers running on a version of Dos as the OS.
